1973 Jaguar E Type Series 3 2+2 FHC
Primrose Yellow
Coupe
3 Speed Automatic
5.3 litre V12
61,475 miles
VIN-No. 1S51792BW
A$ 57,995

The last of the line Jaguar E Types were built with the silky smooth 5.3 V12 engine on a longer chassis.
Designed with the USA in mind the car featured an improved cabin space with longer doors and power steering as standard.

This car was delivered new 1st May 1973 to a Mr. Dixson of Ealing, London, its first 6 services were completed before it came to Australia in 1977 with just 19,000 miles on the clock.

The cars first Australian home was Fremantle, WA before coming to Sydney, NSW at some point over the last 20 years, it’s owner for the last decade or so was a prominent Sydney Barrister who had several unusual and exotic cars.

It’s displayed mileage of 61,000 miles could well be genuine as the car looks and feels like a well kept low mileage car, not one that has covered 161,000 miles, this however cannot be proven or disproven with the paperwork available.

What is obvious is the quality of the car, its exterior paint in lovely Primrose Yellow has benefited from a top quality refresh, the trim inside looks original with a lovely patina that is always nice to see in these cars, it comes with a rare factory steel electric sliding sunroof and it sits on recently replaced chrome wire wheels.

Being a 2+2 automatic model, this car will really appeal to the enthusiast with a young family who wants to enjoy the car with his family on a weekend and perhaps use the car occasionally during the week to get to the office.

At this price, it is surely the easiest way to get into E Type ownership with no concession to the quality of the car.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
