Sellers description:
I MUST SELL MY BABY. UNCLE SAM's IRS, SAYS I NEED TO FORK OVER MORE DINERO. WIFE SAYS I CAN'T TOUCH SAVINGS OR INVESTMENTS SO ONE OF MY TOYS MUST GO. IT COMES DOWN TO MY FAVORITE WEEKEND ACTIVITY. THIS JAG OR MY BOAT. I LIVE IN FLORIDA SO IT'S THE JAG.

I LOOKED LONG AND HARD FOR THIS ONE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO WITH THE IDEA OF HAVING A GREAT WEEK END DRIVER WHILE WORKING ON RESTORATION OVER TIME. I PICKED THIS ONE BECAUSE OF THE SHAPE OF THE BODY (NO RUST) A HALF DECENT PAINT JOB, GOOD CHROME, ALL PARTS PRESENT AND MOST IMPORTANT FOR A FLORIDA RESIDEN - A/C.

I ONLY TAKE IT OUT ON THE WEEKENDS - AT MY AGE, I NEED ALL THE ATTENTION I CAN GET. IT TURNS HEADS AND GETS WAVES AND HONKS EVERYWHERE I GO. IT HAS NEVER FAILED TO START EVEN WHEN I'VE HAD TO LET IT SIT FOR SIX WEEKS OR SO WHEN GONE ON BUSINESS.

I RECENTLY HAD THE MAJOR MECHANICAL WORK DONE TO SOLVE JAG'S PRIMARY PROBLEMS.... LEAKS!! THE ENGINE WAS PULLED AND THE FRONT AND REAR ENGINE SEALS WERE REPLACED BY A CERTIFIED FACTORY TRAINED JAG MASTER MECHANIC EMPLOYED BY EUROPEAN MOTORCARS HERE IN TAMPA. WHILE THE ENGINE WAS OUT HE ALSO REPLACED THE MAIN AND ROD BEARINGS ALONG WITH ALL OTHER SEALS AND GASKETS. THAT ALONE COST OVER $6,000. IN ADDITION ALL HOSES, SOME RUBBER, CARPETS, FILTER HOUSINGS AND LUCAS ELECTRICAL SWITCHES WERE REPLACED.

TIRES ARE OK - INTERIOR IS USEABLE - AT SOME POINT THE FRONT SEATS WERE RECOVERED IN VYNIL. SOME DRYING AND CRAKING ON THE REAR SEAT. PAINT IS OK. I HAVE MANY EXTRA PARTS, SEAT FOAM AND FILTERS ETC. I AM SERIOUS WHEN I SAY THIS IS A NICE ONE (ESPECIALLY FOR THE RESERVE PRICE). NOT JUNK! NOT A BASKET CASE OR A PARTS CAR. REMEMBER HOWEVER, THIS ORIGINAL IS 34 YEARS OLD. IT IS FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD LOVE IT AS MUCH AS ME AND IS WILLING TO PLUSH HER UP AS A GREAT INVESTMENT. WITH MAYBE NEW LEATHER, PAINT AND TLC IT WOULD BE WORTH AT LEAST TWICE AS MUCH. IF YOU LOOK IT UP IN THE COLLECTOR CAR PRICE GUIDE YOU WILL SEE IT'S WORTH A MINIMUM OF $16K AND MOST PROBABLY ABOVE $19k IN CURRENT CONDITION.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
