Ebay item 5/29/11
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Two-Owner-Well-preserved-Well-Documented-V12-Coupe-/2207 ...
Current bid $19,100 reserve not met 5 bids 6 days left in auction. Buy it now price $34,500.
Sellers description:
This is a two owner V12 coupe with the second owner purchasing the car in 1976.The longtime owner is now in his 80s and thinning his collection. I have full documentation on the car. The car has never been involved in an accident and has never had rust, currently has no rust. The owner was a very conscientious owner with the car in the shop a minimum of twice a year for thermostat changes and inspections. The miles showing on the odometer will have rolled over. The car had a complete engine rebuild with Dyno output and engine map in 1999. The same year the car got a complete chrome off, glass out repaint with all rubber seals replaced. Recent work that has been performed in 2010 was a tranny reseal, replaced shocks and rear brakes, in addition they replaced distributor, rotor, and wires. The chrome is in superb condition. The beautiful interior that you are viewing is the original interior in stunning condition, headrest showing signs of a restuff needed. The run and drive is incredible for a 1971 V12, it exudes confidence of reliability and usability, I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. Suspension is tight, engine correct, tranny correct, brakes good, glass and rubber good. The tires are a fairly recent set of Pirellis P4000s. The car comes with extra keys, original owners manual, copies of titles for both owners.

Car returns to ebay 1/27/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-XK-Base-1971-jaguar-xke-base-5-3-l-/221674012716
Opening bid US $35,000 reserve not met no bids 6 days left in auction, buy it now price $80,000. Car now said to be in Houston, Texas, reporting 17k miles.
Sellers description:
1971 Jaguar XKE v12 2+2 E type. The car has the V12 engine in it and all the fuel system to include the carburetors have been rebuilt. As you can see in the pictures, this car is in excellent condition. I have not licensed the car for the last two years and it has never sat outside. It has always been in my garage and I start it on a regular basis. The last time the car was inspected, it had just over 16,000 miles on it and now it has a little over 17,000 miles on it.
The only things wrong with it are:
1.) From sitting, the rear main is starting to leak a little bit.
2.) I need to research the alternator, because the ignition light just came on on the dash.
3.) Missing the drivers side carpet underneath the drives feet.
4.) The locks need to be greased because they are not working all the time.
For a 1971 jaguar, you will not find one all original and that looks as good as this one. This car should be in a museum.
