Sellers description:
We are offering for your bidding considerations the following AWESOME peice of automtive history! This Jaguar is an early 1971 released model, with an early hi-performance exhaust. If you are a Jag enthusiast, you'll also appreciate this little tidbit about this car....the valve covers say "JAGUAR" on them...they put those on the 6 cylinders...thats why I say this is an EARLY run. The former owner of 10 yrs has offered to give information on the work he had done to this car.
This XKE is an EXCELLENT driver, and runs strong! As you can see in the pictures, it's not a perfect car, but it's ALL THERE and highly restoreable. There are a few blemishes on the car, but all in all VERY solid automobile. There is a small crack on the windshield.

This 1971 Jaguar XKE 2+2 V12 was acquired 16 years ago by the seller and has since been refurbished over the years. Work is said to have included refinishing the car in British Racing Green, rebuilding the brake system, refreshing the interior, and replacing the carburetors, exhaust system, and suspension components. The car is powered by a numbers-matching 5.3-liter V12 paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes a Pioneer CD stereo, a sliding rear bench, and 15″ knock-off wire wheels. This XKE is now offered with spare parts and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.
Previously finished in Saddle Brown, the car was repainted its current shade of British Racing Green in 2006 and the windshield is said to have been replaced at that time. Features include European-market tail lights, a vented hood, a retractable antenna, V12 badging, and quad exhaust outlets. A blemish is noted on the driver’s rear quarter panel.
Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels with Jaguar-script centers are wrapped in 205/75 Dunlop SP60 narrow-whitewall tires showing 2015 production codes. The car is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes that were overhauled and fitted with stainless steel lines during current ownership. The suspension was also refreshed with replacement struts, ball joints, and polyurethane bushings. The power steering check valve is said to require service. The seating surfaces are upholstered in Cinnamon leather and the seller states that the dashboard, center console, headliner, and rear cargo area trim have been replaced. Amenities include a Pioneer CD stereo, a sliding rear bench, and a rear window defroster. The air conditioning is noted to be non-functional.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit mechanical odometer indicates 24k miles, around 100 of which were added by the seller. True mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 features replacement quad side-draft SU carburetors and was factory rated at 272 horsepower. The exhaust system has also been replaced and the fuel tank was resealed per the seller.
Engine block stamping 7S2397SA matches the number listed on the chassis plate.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
