Current bid $3,050 reserve not met, 9 bids, 4 days left in auction. Complete VIN on this car is J711S71515.

Sellers description:
Solid 1971 2 plus 2 coupe. Originally an Arizona car. Rust is not an issue with this car. Car was originally a 4-speed car, but, was converted to automatic some time ago,so it is not numbers matching. The rear end is geared for a 4-speed,giving it much improved low end torque. The car shifts well and there are no issues with the conversion. This is a radio delete and A/C delete car, with the intentions for autocross use or vintage racing. The project was halted and the car can now go either way, street use or finish the work and go vintage racing. Car is currently primer black and was gloss black most recently.12 cylinder starts at the first turn of the key, idles smoothly and runs well.Interior has been gutted somewhat for weight savings, but original seats remain. A 4-point harness is installed in the drivers side with the passenger side still in the box. Original seatbelts will be provided to the winning bidder. Ansa exhaust has been fitted as well and if you will notice a center console from a later XJ-S is installed. The front end has been completely gone thru with the new polyurethane technology replacing all the old rubber componets. Rear end is still original.Rear window is currently out for fitting of a Lexan piece, but, will go with the sale. Temporary taillights have been fitted as the originals are not with the car, headlights are original and function perfectly.New headliner.Guages work well, with the exception of the oil guage which is new, but not hooked up to the sender. Clock even works. Good wire wheels with new knock-offs. Also, the chrome trim pieces (A VERY COSTLY KIT) around the doors, headlights and top of the bonnet, fender line are BRAND NEW.

Current bid US $6,766 reserve not met 7 bids 6 days left in auction, seller lonepilot, 47k miles, car now said to be Ames, Iowa.

Sellers description:
I bought this car in August 2007 and drove it for about three years when the distributor gear stripped the drive inside the engine. I had the V12 engine completely rebuilt, which was necessary to access that drive gear, and while the engine was out I deciding to have it painted and do a conversion to covered headlamps and use the Jaguar SI E-Type lamps just like Jay Leno did on his red V12 convertible. The ignition has been upgraded to a more modern electronic ignition and the car now runs great, although the four Strombergs are cranky when starting cold.

The car is now painted the beautiful color of Aston Martin Mendip Blue after I saw the color on a DB9. The grill is the original with the emblem removed and then painted and polished similar to that of the DB9. The original grill emblem as well as any other original parts come with the car. The interior is as I bought it and lets the car down the most. There are tears here but a carpet kit is the largest need. There are a few chips but not many, mostly from having to remove the very heavy bonnet between the car being at the paint shop and the reinstall and tuning of the engine. One of the tail lamp is missing the reflector and a new one should be sourced.

The car originally had air conditioning but it had been removed from the car. The original air conditioning compressor comes in a box and I have reinstalled some of the controls back to the interior although the knobs were missing.

All of the spares and original parts come with the car, I have many boxes of parts as pictured. Also comes with a three ring binder of receipts and measurements from the engine rebuild.
