Current bid $3,383 reserve not met, 3 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1972 E-Type 2+2, 4 speed, splined hub wire wheels.

Factory air; 50K miles. Vin #1573171

I have owned this car since 11/97. And it has been my long term restoration “THERAPY” Not intended to be anything but a good driver.

Cooling system: all new hoses, radiator boil-out etc done in 98

Body seals: inside from front windscreen. Done in 2000

Heads: reworked in ’01. Sheaved .010; new valves and guides, shimmed to .080 inlet and

.013 exhaust.

Differential and clutch cylinders rebuilt in ‘03

Brake master was also done, but failed this year, needs a re-sleeve.

07 and 08 saw a lower and engine rebuild- crankshaft mains are .010 oversized and the shaft was chromed by crankshaft

Specialist in Memphis , TN . .010 oversized rod bearings, new timing chain and guides, new piston rings.

Distributor also freshened up.

Transmission front and rear seals renewed.

While it’s not quite finished – needs some floor pans, a master brake cylinder, and attention to the A/C.

It’s well on it’s way to being what it should be. It had 43K miles when I bought it, so it’s basically a labor project for

all this time. It had a paint reshoot in ’95 (before I bought it) so I have verified it’s history except for 18 months.

The emission system was also gone when I got it, and I have not installed another.

It also has an alternator conversion from Butec to Delco.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
