Lot No. 2066
To be offered on Friday, May 9, 2014
This Jaguar received a high-quality restoration approximately 10 years ago and is finished in Signal Red with a new Black leather interior; this 1973 2+2 coupe sports the desirable and optional chrome wire wheels and air conditioning, which is a welcome option in warmer climates. The strong 5.3-liter, 272-hp DOHC V-12 engine has four Stromberg carburetors and the unit is mated to an automatic transmission. The exhaust is the early four-splitter type, this was later changed in production to the more common two-pipe set-up. The interior features a center console, properly working full instrumentation, radio/CD player and front seat headrests.

Strong 5.3L DOHC V12 Engine!
Automatic Transmission!
Four Wheel Disc Brakes!
Air Conditioning!
MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to present yet another stunning 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III 2+2 Coupe.
As you may be able to tell, this Jaguar benefitted from an older restoration and has been meticulously maintained over the years. Finished in brilliant Viper Red, this Jaguar's paint is deep with a beautiful luster. The paint is in stunning condition and shows only minor imperfections. All of the chrome on the car is in excellent condition with a lustrous shine. Door mounted dual mirrors and a chrome air extractor grille on the rear hatch help to distinguish this Series III, as it is only one of 7,310 ever produced!
Inside the coupe, new black interior looks incredible. The leather interior shows no signs of wear or tear and shows very, very well! The carpet and headliner also look great. The carpet is protected by a set of XKE floor mats. The dash is in excellent condition, showing no signs of cracking or fade and houses an original set of gauges. The interior also features a center console, working full instrumentation, radio/CD player and front seat headrests. It should be noted that the horn is currently inoperable.
Under the hood sits the very desirable 5.3L dual overhead camshaft V12 engine, capable of up to 272 horsepower, attached to an automatic transmission. This car is equipped with air conditioning, power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes. The car sits elegantly upon a set of the enticing and optional 15" chrome wire wheels that are wrapped in brand new P205/70R15 tires.
Included in the purchase of this E-Type are two Jaguar Series III V12 E-Type Operating, Maintenance and Service Handbooks as well as a folder full of receipts and photos. The receipts show that not a single expense was spared and over 2,500 man hours were put into the restoration of this breathtaking Jaguar!
The VIN for this handsome Jag is 1S74977 and the mileage currently shows 24,495. It is being sold on a clean and clear Tennessee title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

The car was restored circa 2004 and is finished in Signal Red over black leather. Features include four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an aftermarket CD player. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this Series III E-Type is now offered in New York with a jack, a knockoff hammer, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Signal Red and equipped with H4 headlamps, a forward-hinged louvered hood, pop-out rear quarter windows, and a power antenna. Photos of paint meter readings are provided in the gallery.
Chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Cooper Trendsetter SE tires. The Series III E-Type was factory-equipped with power steering and four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The 2+2 cabin is trimmed in black leather and equipped with an aftermarket CD player, wind-up windows, and XKE-branded floor mats.
Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack.
