Ebay item 1/31/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Roadster-24-000-miles-/250985289791
Opening bid $56,000 reserve not met, no bids yet 6 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 24k miles.
Sellers description:
24,000 original miles makes this car a true rarity. Never abused or neglected. One owner from 1971 to 2007 and we the all the original paperwork since new. The car is British Racing Green and the interior is Tan. Completely number matching. Cars with very low mileage are touted, they generally have little to no maintenance performed on them. subsequently seals leak, exhaust rusts and tyres dry rot. Not this one, since 2005 this beauty had $31,000 worth of maintenance and upgrades. New tyres, new clutch, new chrome, new paint, new aluminum radiator, new soft top, new shocks. The motor is strong with 140 PSI of compression across the board. It has been back dated to three SU carburetors, the original Stromberg's are available. This isn't the whole list but the invoice can be emailed if you wish. The bright work and paint are both in wonderful condition, the interior looks new and the dash has no cracks. This car has ZERO rust or body issues. No smoke and good oil pressure makes this car even better. It has none of the usual E Type issues. The whole car drives and feels like new! This car was recently at the Colorado Concours d' Elegance and won it class with a total point accumulation of 9.982 out of 10. This is one of the best E Type's we've ever seen and driven. They are only new once and this is it. You can find ones with the same mileage that have needs because they have just been sitting, without being taken care of properly. If you want a E Type that you can jump into and enjoy with out worrying about the 30 year old tyres, this is the car.

1971 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster; It is hard to find rare cars such as these, that have only 25,001 original documented miles. A wonderful running and driving car, this is a solid, accident free Jaguar. This very original, matching numbers 1971 XKE 4.2 Series II roadster would be a wonderful car to start, or add to your collection. In an elegant color combination of British Racing Green with a Biscuit interior, it is fitted with a fresh set of custom made Dunlop tires, purchased from Vintage Tyres in the U.K. It comes with a full spare, and 5 chrome wire wheels as well.
