Believing an E-Type should be as fast as it looks, I've built a 4.2 to over 300hp!
It's bored .020, stroked .250, 10:1 Venolia Pistons, Isky cams, tripple Webbers, headders, Malory distributor, MSD ignition, aluminum fly wheel & pulleys, etc.

I found a 4-sale ad for your car in the July - August 2000 issue of the JCNA Jaguar Journal publication. Price listed then was $38,000.00 with all the goodies you have listed above. Glad to see you still have the car.

4/22/04 ad found on JCNA classifieds:
This little piece of art history is really as quick as it looks! JCNA Slalom Winner! Bright red with tan top and interior. Less than 5000 miles on a new high performance built XK engine, clutch, transmission, tires, paint, and some chrome. Car needs air conditioner repair and new dash pad. Affordably priced at only $25,000!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
