Owned this car from1987 to 1997ish! Was Morello when I bought it (a late 70s or early 80s Jaguar deep metallic red) and covered in micro blistering, but otherwise appeared good bodily. Had the engine rebuilt in 1988/89 and then I hit a fox which made a mess of the front valance. This was the catalyst I needed to start the bodywork and return the car back to Opalescent Dark Blue. I have to say the bodyshop did a great job, but it took about three years! I see the car regularly at classic car race meetings and it still looks good today - although someone has dented the door!! Hope this is interesting if you are the current owner - I'm not far away from you (8 miles from Banbury)

I have owned this E-type for almost 10 years, this car was one say my a large collection of sports cars. But now live in Italy I have started to sell off these cars as I don't get to use and drive the Etype as often as I would like, that is the only reason I sadly have to part ways with it. The car is currently having an £16, 000 paint / body work restoration, purely because I want to offer the car in a flawless condition. I recently had a new bonnet replaced and painted by CMC Jaguar costing £33, 000 in 2017. Before, that the car was totally refurbished (nut n bolt) including engine, interior trim and body work in 1995.

This vehicle ticks all the boxes with regards to being a genuine UK Matching Numbers, original RHD car with excellent provenance and full service history dating back to the 60's. This is the 4th Etype I have owned and is simply the best driving E-type I have ever owned and experienced.

The webasto roof is awesome and leak proof with a wind deflector, I simply wouldn't own en E-type without it, when the roof is fully open the driving experience is significantly enhanced compared to a non-sunroof car.

I have discreetly installed a retro style upgrade Bluetooth stereo and focal speakers costing £2000. The car has always been dry stored, well serviced and driven once a month to keep the engine lubricated.

I installed a new wooden steering wheel which is easier to use. Must be seen, this is the one to have! Reluctant SaleThis E-type is the one you want because the colour contrast of deep blue with tan hide, in my opinion is probably the best colour combination. Also, another striking feature is this car drives very fast, smoothly and makes the right noises. The gearbox is the best Moss Box I have experienced. I am certain any enthusiast will instantly recognise this is a solid and genuine example.
