Never out of the classic car world's favour the Jaguar E-type still seduces with its lines, which from whatever angle still impress the harshest of car design critics. The Series 1 is regarded as the purest and as a result values have strengthened but buying a project car can be a highly rewarding route in to 'E' ownership. This early example quite clearly requires work but is highly original and solid, the underside and floors being free of corrosion and the engine appear complete. As a starting point for a full-on restoration or to evolve gradually on a use-and-improve basis the Coupe is a commendable first steppingstone.
