Info gathered with permission from: www.hendi.nl/xke/main.htm
This car was originally delivered to Connecticut, to an owner who had it for about two years. It was then sold to an owner in Massachusetts who had it for less than a year. The history was lost for a period, until about 1970, when it was in the hands of a Massachusetts owner who held it for about four years. About 1974, it was sold again to another Massachusetts owner without any engine. The car was painted black and the wheels were painted silver when he received it. That owner installed a 4.2-liter engine and transmission, and sold the car, in about Spring of 1975, to another Massachusetts owner. This owner had it until September of 1975, when it was sold to its owner as of 1994, who took it to Michigan. When the car was brought to Michigan, it was in very poor condition, with non-original 3.8-Iiter engine and transmission much of the interior trim lost, thick vinyl padding on the center of the dash and many improperly painted components in the engine compartment. The rearend was in very original condition, seemingly having never been removed from the car. The body shell had rust on the lower portions of the rocker panels, and some extending into the floor-pan area, but was not noticeably sagging. The trunk and original hood showed virtually no rust. From 1975 to 1994, the lower portions of the body shell were replaced and the car was re-painted from black to its original Opalescent Blue, much of the interior was replaced with used components trimmed in the correct dark blue, the bottom-end of the replacement engine was rebuilt, the rearend was rebuilt, along with numerous other jobs. The goal was not to restore the car, but to slowly bring it back to the condition of a carefully-used original. In 1994 the car was in very good running order throughout. As was the case with 875250, the body-number was stamped on the right-rear of the interior of the hood. Original engine R1138-9, original trans. EB239JS.

This car was mentioned in the March '82 issue of Ejag magazine as being in Dr. Tom Haddock's possession (Haddock's Restoration Guide). A partial quote: He bought his second early E from another Ejagger in 1975 and since then has put a great deal of work into number 875109. In fact most of his Jagwork goes into this car and he drives it occassionally.
