1961 Jaguar E-Type Roadster Convertible
The first series of the E-type Jaguars to be produced with the flat floor design and exterior side latches for the bonnet, serial #356.
This car has had one-owner. With 41,000 original miles and one repaint since new. This white with burgundy interior convertible is the most collectible of the E-type Jaguars as well as the rarest of the 13-year production.
The 3.8 litre inline, 6-cylinder, dual overhead camshafts, triple carburetion engine produces 265 horsepower. It's 4-speed transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes and 4 wheel independent suspension make this car fun to drive.

Over the last 38 years I have extensively modified this car into a High performance show car.

I have the original engine for this car, it's in my garage here in North Yorkshire (UK) It came with a Jaques Smith from Anchorage Alaska.
Engine number is R1405-R as the VIN plate states.

I don't like it either. However, it is the decission of the owner and if it matches his taste, I have to accept this....
And I fear, that the early engine will not return to its origin Destination.
