    Sellers description:
    Condition: Show
    Restored by Classic Showcase
Every component has been rebuilt or replaced in this vehicle by Classic Showcase. No expense was spared in this correct and proper restoration to the highest standards. The craftsmanship is superb as well as the fit.

Perfection was our goal in restoring this original roadster with heritage certificate. It is a super example. The 3.8 engine rebuilt to factory specifications matching and calibrated with new pistons, bearings, valves, guides, seals, timing chain, head completely rebuilt, rebuilt carburetors, clutch, all new brake parts, drive shaft balanced, restored shocks, part of the chassis and many other parts refinished in it’s correct finish, new suspension, under carriage rebuilt, new wire harness, gas tank restored and epoxy sealed, rebuilt fuel pump, all electrical components, gauges, knobs, switches rebuilt, rescreened or replaced, top bows and seat frames powder coated, replaced stone guards, new triplex windshield, new drip panels, new exhaust system, rear end completely rebuilt as well as the transmission. Body stripped to bare metal, metal work including the body, doors, bonnet and boot, then fitted to the body, epoxy sealed and painted, color sanded and buffed, new rubber, seals, grommets and gaskets, trim and bright work replaced or replated, new proper interior carpet, panels, dash and seats all redone, fitted with a correct British grain soft top. Lot of time spends on detail and quality throughout the restoration process. One of the finest in the world. This is a very early E-Type with Flat Floors and welded lever bonnet. DVD of the restoration process accompanies the car.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
