My father purchased this car in approximately 1972. He worked at restoring it over the years. In 2005, my husband and I decided to help him finish this project. The car was restored to excellent condition. (email)Updated November 28th, 2009. Not legal proof of ownership. |

Current bid US $51,100 reserve not met 4 bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in East Providence, Rhode Island. Previous auction ended as sold.
Sellers description:
This particular example is the best of all worlds: it is not too perfect to drive, and yet with a multi-volume history file going back to its delivery new in California, and with a well documented recent restoration, you know exactly what you are getting with this one. It is no secret that these early flat-floor examples of Jaguar's most famous production car have been skyrocketing in value lately, especially in roadster configuration. While this car is certainly not perfect, it is an investment quality car in quintessential colors that you can drive and enjoy.

I can't speak to the radiator, but the tool kit is actually correct according to one of the adjudicators at a concourse we entered. The incorrect part of the tool kit is the green felt. Apparently I should not have had that put on when we restored it. The rolled up tool kit came later.
