Description:
Racing car with road approval (currently decommissioned)
Jaguar E Roadster built in 1961, matching No. with Heritage certificate, FIA racing papers and German road approval.
Left-hand drive, traceable history, according to which the vehicle was first registered in the Netherlands and has been used sporadically in historic motorsport for 20 years. Because of its use in motorsport, a screwed-in roll bar and a racing hardtop are installed.
The vehicle is painted in the original color "old English white" with blue stripes and the original red interior is present, but not fully installed because of its use as a racing vehicle. The engine block is original with matching No., the engine is tuned and has around 260 HP according to the performance diagram. A "big pore" exhaust system is installed. The gearbox is a 4-speed Jaguar gearbox with full synchronization. The braking system has been modified for racing use in accordance with the Appendix K regulations for the "E" period (Jaguar MK 10 brake calipers at the front and variable adjustable brake force distribution).
The vehicle can be registered and used on the road immediately or used as a perfect rust-free basis for a new build of a rare Jaguar E 1961 Roadster.
The body is rust- and dent-free and "straight". Because the interior is partially dismantled, the hidden body areas can also be easily inspected. The interior is present, but some parts need to be renewed. The car is the ideal basis for do-it-yourself restoration, as the body and mechanics are very good.
