Sellers comment:
1963 XKE ROADSTER: In storage from 1982 till 2003 in a barn. Cleaned out the fuel tank, fuel pump, installed a new filter, battery and oil....it fired right up and ran. Checked oil pressure with a mechanical gauge at 40-60psi. I have installed new down pipes and complete (NOS) ANSA exhaust system. Rebuilt and sleeved front calipers with new flex hoses. The E-Type runs and the clutch and transmission work, but not really driveable yet, needs rear brakes bleed and then check out master cylinders, needs cooling system checked and fan shroud and fan motor. E-Type Roadster originally Old English White (frame rails still white as it underdash & under carpet area & spare tire well. Carpets all dry rotted, so were removed. The Body is Rust Free. Engine was replaced with 1969 E-Type motor and Transmission and both are in good running condition. The seats are 1967/1978 type (leather pretty gone). Top is fair with a bad window. I have set a very low reserve and this will be an easy restore project. ......someone with time, will get a very Great E-Type to restore. I would put on the 3 SU carb set-up, old type valve covers, carpet and interior kit, repaint, do the cooling and brakes.....and drive and enjoy. Then you have a very valuable SERIES I COVERED HEADLIGHTS E-TYPE ROADSTER.........VERY LOW RESERVE ON RUST FREE E-TYPE.
Vehicle Condition
1963 E-Type Roadster, Rust Free Body with 4.2 motor and transmission. Easy Restoration. Motor runs, transmission and clutch work, will move under it's own power, but cooling and brakes need attention. Front Brakes resleeved, rebuilt and new flex lines installed and bleed. Cooling system will need looked at, it has water/anti-freeze in it, no leaks...but needs redoing.

I did not used the car for quite a few years after the restoration was finished.
I have now registered it with registration number 33KXE and have been driving it sparingly in the summer months getting lovely comments wherever I go.
