Ebay item 2/5/12 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Classic-1963-E-Type-/260949758043
Car has a buy it now price of $54,000 for 6 days. 65k miles.
Sellers description:
It breaks my heart to part with this beauty. I have owned this car since 1975. My belief is that this is the one Jaguar for any true enthusiast to own.
This is an excellent daily driver. Very reliable and very fun.
Unfortunately, When I purchased this car I was unaware of the importance of matching numbers. The original 3.8 litre engine was toast.
I installed a 1967 4.2 litre engine and gearbox. I did however maintain the original manifolds and triple SU carburators. ( I do have a complete rebuilt spare 3.8 litre engine availible as a spare if so desired. This is not the original engine but the closest example I could find. (I'm asking $4,950.00 for this engine)
The engine, synchro-mesh transmission, brakes, suspension are in excellent working order. There is no rust or rot on the car. The tan leather interior is new. The paint job is stunning and the chrome sparkles like new.
There are a few items that are in need of replacement. The convertable top should be replaced. (the frame is in good shape but the material and rear window is worn) The windscreen has a small crack and the steering wheel has a crack. There one minor dent in the bonnet.

The Series 1 cars are the pure Jaguar. The covered headlights, the toggle dash switches and one of my favorite features: the brushed aluminum dashboard and transmission tunnel.
