Sold by Rock n Roll Classics of Jabbeke in April 2023. Seller's description below.

www.rnrclassics.be/nl/wagens/7007-1963-jaguar-e-type-s1-ots

Our Series 1 E Type open top sports is one of only 7828 cars produced and is fully matching numbers and colour. Delivered in 1963 to her first owner, Alys V Hills in Hollywood finished in Opalescent Silver Blue. A few years later the car was sold to Beverly Hankins, a private banker who, when the car was first delivered, worked with Mrs Hills. She always had a soft spot for this Opalescent Silver Blue E Type and bought it from the former colleague before she moved to Charlottesville. The car became a part of her life and remained in her possession for 41 years. From the carefully kept invoices you can see that no expense was spared to keep it in perfect condition so that it has never had to be restored.

Today, this very original E Type is still owned by the third owner and looks like it has just rolled out of the Coventry factory. The beautiful Opalescent Silver Blue paint colour was repainted and the black leather interior shows a beautiful patinated condition. When you sit in the leather bucket seats you can see the beautiful finish and the original details such as the Smiths counters, toggle switches, the wooden steering wheel and the original radio. To ensure it continued to drive as well as it looked the engine was overhauled in 2018. The car drives like new, the six cylinder engine starts at the push of a button and the Moss 4 speed gearbox is a pleasure to use. The car is a combination of quality, history, originality and drivability; the perfect E Type.
