This Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that was built on January 21, 1963 and dispatched to New York the following February. Since acquiring the car from a neighbor in 2006, the seller has commissioned a repaint in red as well as installation of a stainless steel exhaust system, an aluminum radiator, replacement black leather upholstery, and more. Power is from a 3.8-liter inline-six that was reportedly rebuilt on a replacement block in 2001, while more recent work included overhauls of the generator and steering rack, new engine mounts, and refreshment of the brakes and suspension. This XKE is offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, partial records, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Opalescent Silver Blue, the body was taken to bare metal and repainted in red by Wicked Auto of Fitchburg, Massachusetts. Photographs in the gallery capture some of the associated work.

Chrome 15” knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires date-coded 2012. A new brake master cylinder, calipers, and rotors were installed by the seller. Close-up photos of the lenses and black convertible top are provided below.

The seats have been reupholstered in black leather, and matching carpets and door panels have been installed. A stock wood-rimmed steering wheel is retained, while custom aluminum trim accents the dash and center console. Just over 26k miles are shown on the 5-digit odometer, approximately 16k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 3.8-liter inline-six was reportedly rebuilt on a replacement block by KTR European Motorsports of Ayer, Massachusetts in 2001. Shifting is through a 4-speed manual transmission. The steering rack and generator were overhauled last year, and new engine mounts were installed. Additional work under current ownership included fitment of a stainless steel exhaust system, an aluminum radiator, and an electric fan as well as a new fuel pump and regulator, and a rebuilt distributor.

New ball joints, U-joints, and tie rods have also been fitted by the seller. Noted issues include an oil leak from the pan gasket and a high clutch engagement.

The Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate lists the original colors and factory chassis, engine, and body numbers.
