- One of the most beautiful production cars in history
This E-Type has been in the collection of our enthusiast of English cars since June 29, 1988, when it was registered after having been purchased at auction on June 6 of the same year. In 1999, he entrusted it to Atelier Vetel in Dijon for a complete mechanical restoration (invoices available) including engine rebuilt and overhauling the gearbox. In 2002, the axles were overhauled by Atelier Sontrop as well as the bodywork. The interior was redone by Epée saddlery in Auxerre. It now sports superb red leather upholstery and red carpets. Its chassis number is stamped in the original place. Our test drive confirmed the total absence of unpleasant vibrations or rattles, a precise steering, and excellent suspension. The acceleration is straightforward and the gears shift with ease. This car underwent a good quality restoration 20 years ago (invoice folder provided), it was little used since and parked in dry conditions within the very English collection, especially Bentleys, of the owner. A timeless and legendary model indeed.
Estimation 100 000 - 150 000 €
