This 1964 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is powered by a replacement 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car was refinished in Carmen Red over tan leather during a refurbishment approximately a decade ago, and it is equipped with a black soft top, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire-spoke steel wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, triple windshield wipers, a cassette radio, and a heater. This XKE Series I roadster was acquired by the current owner in 2025 and is now offered in Texas on dealer consignment with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and an Arizona title.
The Series I E-Types were equipped with covered headlights and taillights mounted above the chrome rear bumpers. This example was finished from the factory in Opalescent Silver Blue and was repainted Carmen Red around ten years. ago. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a driver-side mirror, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Avon radials tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, an AM/FM/cassette radio with a graphic equalizer, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, which is not considered to be accurate. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory colors and serial numbers along with a build date of October 23, 1963.
