    Info from above auction:

    1964 Jaguar, Series I, OTS 3.8L
    Cream/Black Interior/Black Stayfast Top
    VIN # 881353
    Engine # RA6346-9
    Transmission # EB 14446JS
1964 Jaguar, Series I, Roadster. This Open Two Seater has been restored to a fine concours level condition and is a matching numbers, original equipment classic.

This beauty has a 10 year old complete, six figure restoration, performed by Muncie Imports & Classics. The car has 2342 miles since the restoration and has been garaged its entire post restoration life.

The interior was manufactured and installed by OSJI (Original Specification Jaguar Interiors). The interior was a “Major Kit” in black with a black, Stayfast top. The top and interior were installed in-house by our master trimmer, Gary Griffey

    Paint & Body:
This OTS was completely disassembled to the last nut and bolt. All bad sheet metal was replaced. There is absolutely NO RUST!! All paint work was done with BASF (catalyzed urethane) Cream paint. The finish was wet sanded and buffed to a slick OEM mirror finish.

    Mechanical:
This car had a complete mechanical rebuild, replace and repair performed by Muncie Imports and Classics. The motor, transmission and differential were disassembled and rebuilt. The car has a new wiring harness, and all gauges were rebuilt. The mechanicals are correctly refinished to paint, zinc plate, chrome plate, OEM specifications with the exception of an updated electrical cooling fan.

Also, we performed a complete fuel system overhaul in 2007 when the fuel pump and carburetors were rebuilt.

All plated parts (control arms and front suspension etc.) have been reconditioned, in house, by Muncie Imports & Classics.

Finally fulfilled a childhood dream of owning and driving a Series One XKE, and it is everything I hoped for and more. Much smoother ride than any of my previous sports cars, and loads of torque and power at any RPM. Sensational!

Car has a buy it now price of $179,900 for 20 days, seller gregggaylard, 18k miles.

    Sellers description:
If you are looking for a Concours level 'Driver' this may be the one for you! During my 7+ years of stewardship I've had the pleasure of adding 15,000 miles to the odometer ... mostly to classic car related events up to 500 miles away from my Raleigh, NC home base. After a good detailing the cat usually places at or near the top, and it continues to do so to this day. A total of 18,900 miles have been driven since the complete (documented with receipts) Concours level restoration was performed by Muncie Motors, Indiana in 1998 during which the color was changed from its carmin red to Old English white.

As the Concours Chairman of the Carolina Jaguar Club for the last 3 years and a current JCNA judge, I'm well versed on what it takes to maintain an E Type in top condition, and have made a few common sense driving upgrades along the way including a Pertronix ignition and stainless steel exhaust system. This car purrs like a kitten and drives / operates as new.

    Major Awards:
This coveted cat has averaged a JCNA score of 9.997 (Driven Class) over the last 7 years. In 2010 the judges honored it with the 'Palmetto Award' (2nd place) at the Hilton Head Invitational Concours d'Elegance; in 2011 it won 'Best in Show' at the Jaguar Club of North America XKExperience National event in Richmond, VA- renowned Jaguar test driver 'Norman Dewis' was the featured guest and personally handed out the awards...he was also kind enough to sign the inside of the bonnet and the owner's manual! That same year it earned 1st place in the JCNA South East Region - (one needs three JCNA sanctioned event scores in the region to qualify). In 2013 it was the featured E-Type for the Jaguar USA 'Drive Alive' event for the launch of the Jaguar F-Type- shipped to Charlotte for the occasion; and in 2016 it was invited to grace the show field with some of the finest classic car examples at the Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance! It just doesn't get any better than this if you are inflicted with the 'Classic car bug'! A complete list of awards and scores is available in to potential buyers- all trophies and a beautiful British flag fabric car cover is included in the sale.

Reason for selling......it's time for an E-Type coupe.

    Restoration and Service History:
This Jaguar underwent a complete Concours level restoration completed by the Jaguar specialists at Muncie Imports in Muncie, IN. There are pictures available of the restoration before, during and after. In addition, there are receipts/invoices of the restoration from 1995 and completed in 1998. The current owner has kept up to date on all maintenance and this is all organized in a binder. Furthermore, there are service and maintenance receipts going as far back as 1981 on the car and also nicely organized in a binder. It is difficult to find an e-type in this exceptional condition with this much documentation since new and restoration documentation. As displayed in the pictures below is the beautiful condition this car has been kept in.

    Overall:
This is truly a great E-type. It can be driven anywhere and is mechanically sound. The compression across all 6 cylinders is excellent and a hot compression test was done on June 29, 2017. The results were 170 psi to 175 across all 6 cylinders. The oil pressure is also excellent. Overall, this Jag drives very nice. It handles very tight. There is no fading or pulling upon hard braking. The steering is very precise and easy with no binding. The gears shift smooth and engage nicely. There are no unusual noises coming from the car or engine. It has great throttle response and power. The owner enjoyed driving this car, which is what you are supposed to do when you own an e-type. These cars do not like to sit. Even more impressive, as the awards this car achieved, is that it was driven to all of these events. The Jaguar E-type presented here can, as can be seen by its awards, do very well at JCNA Concours events. However, it is not a trailer queen to be taken from show to show. This car is a phenomenal driver which can be enjoyed as well as being shown. The Series I e-types are among the most desirable and legendary classic sports cars offered. This is certainly one of the nicer examples being offered on the market today.
