    Sellers description:
    This Jag has been through a complete body-off restoration begun by Tsikuris Classics and completed by myself and Realistic Restoration. Paint is perfect Primrose Yellow, and the interior is Black leather. Every bit of body structure was attended to, and new floors,sills and trunk bottom were replaced. Also the front "picture frame" of the engine frame was replaced due to dents from jacking over the years. All the metal work was done to perfection by Tsikuris and the final paint by Realistic. Both shops are well respected facilities in central Florida.

    The engine is the correct 3.8 liter, but it is not a number matching unit. It was rebuilt prior to my ownership and upon inspection needed no internal work at all. The transmission has been replaced with the later Jaguar all-syncro from a 4.2 E-Type. This is not an easy conversion, and again this was done by the pros at Tsikuris. The difference in shifting is incredible

    Every mechanical item was inspected, rebuilt or replaced with new. Some of the items include:

    All brake and clutch cylinders were bored and resleeved with stainless steel, and only silicone fluid has been used since - these hydraulics will last a life-time. New Dayton wire wheels and new tires. New knock-ons.New clutch, brakes, exhaust, suspension, rubber seals and carbs. New Griffin aluminum radiator (which looks just like the original) was installed to keep it from overheating here in Florida. Also a turbine fan was installed on the radiator grille in front for added cooling. Ths car does not overheat - period. A Mallory dual-point dristributor was installed to improve performance.

    The chrome was done by Graves Plating and is show quality. The top is the proper hartz cloth canvas and the fit is perfect. The interior was done by Realistic with pains taking attention to detail. The seat frames were stripped to the metal, blasted, primed and painted they correct grey. A detail you won't even see unless you take them out. A new dash top was fitted as well.

    Every show gets a trophy - either first or second depending on who else attends. This is truly a show quality E-Type that still can be driven.

    If you are paying attention to these cars you will know that this is an expensive Jag. Present restoration costs can easily top $75,000.

    Sellers description:
    I have owned this E-Type since 1996. I purchased it as a "restored basket case" as the owner did not have the funds to complete the restoration. At the time of my purchase it had been professionally restored by Paul Tiskuris of Tsikuris Classics. Paul had dissembled the car to the bare tub, stripped it to bare metal, replaced all the rusted metal (floors, sills, trunk and portions of the front frame). It was completely painted in epoxy primer on top of the bare metal. It then had the body work completed and painted by Paul's shop a beautiful Primrose Yellow color original to the car. The body is excellent. The underside of the car looks just as nice as the body. The underside was as mentioned above epoxy primed, then finished in the Primrose Yellow and then the floor panels and wheelwells coated with Wurth undercoating. The detail underneath is very crisp with no overspray at all - this was done prior to assembly. The suspension was rebuilt all around as well as the steering rack. The chrome was redone by Graves Plating. I acquired it this way and completed the restoration involving the following specialists: New Dayton 15 by 6 wire wheels with stainless spokes, GW Bartlett leather interior, wool carpet and canvas top, stainless steel brakes all around with silicone fluid, stainless steel heater firewall pipes, new wiring harness, later 4.2 liter transmission professionally fitted by Paul making the car much more enjoyable to drive with syncronized first gear. Recently is has been refreshed by Realistic Restorations in Saint Petersburg, Fl. Google them and you will see that they are a high end full service shop. I also installed a stainless steel exhaust system with stainless steel headers as well. I also sent the original manifolds to XK Unlimited and had them re-porcelain coated. They are like new with new flange studs in a box ready to bolt on if the new owner wants to concours show the car. I also have the stainless down pipes to connect to the original manifolds.

    This is an extremely nice Jag and gets it's share of awards when I show it - however it is not a trailer queen that only goes to JCNA concours. It was also built to drive in Florida with an aluminum Griffin radiator (exactly like the original - if painted black you would never know) and a pusher turbine fan. Also - is is not a number matching engine. It does have the correct 3.8 liter engine for the car, but it is not what it left Coventry with. As I am sure you are aware these cars are easily selling for over $100,000. A restoration cost today also exceeds $100,000. I have priced the car to sell, and I can assure you that you will not be disappointed. This is my 6th Jag and I have done my share of restorations and shows. The car has always been stored in my climate controlled showroom garage and only gets driven a few times per year.
