Sellers comment:
You are bidding on a gorgeous and rare car. This 1962 Jaguar XKE 3.8 Liter is a true "Flat Bottom". The car looks to be very original. I've been told it is the same color combination called the "Premier Edition" (Black exterior/Red interior). I had to purchase this car & a 1964 XKE roadster inorder to purchase the 1963 Corvette Split window which I wanted as I like to collect corvettes so that's why I'm selling the 2 XKEs. Please see the pics below. The restoration done on this car is decent. The car drives great - smooth and powerful; the engine has appoximately 100 miles on it since it was rebuilt; power brakes; the glass is clear; there isn't any rust on this car - its solid! The previous owner says that the 58,000 miles on the odometer is actual, but I don't know how to verify other than the condition of the car which might make it true. The car is complete except for the rear bumper, no spare or tools, & 3 pieces of chrome along part of the front windshield (previous owner of this collection said the restoration company lost/misplaced them/ all those parts are available from Jaguar. See the pictures. Also the spoke wheels are original & gorgeous as seen below. If you want a classic XKE, this car is a great opportunity as its gorgeous, fast, and definitely turns heads!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
