Car was owned from new for 37 years by the late Gordon Parks, photgrapher, film director, author, composer. It was purchased from Mr. Parks by me in 1998 and restored, (full frame- off) as a concours-class driver by Terry Lippincott. While a more modern gearbox, brakes and wheels etc have been fitted, I still have all the original parts. The car was restored to original paint/interior as per heritage certificate.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
