So many people and not enough early Etypes. This wonderful car discovered recently is complete with all it's original features. It will require some metal work but the body is generally good and also the bonnet which will need an under pan. We now have the heritage certificate and confirm the original colour was Black with a biscuit interior and the car was dispatched 27 th of March 1962. This is quite an early car but not flat floor. it is in the range of the first 700 chassis numbers. With barn finds on later cars than this achieving 80k at auction recently we would welcome serious interest and sensible offers. the car has been stood many years waiting for its re birth for an enthusiastic owner to cherish and bring this car back to former glory. this car is far from a basket case but will require a full restoration. silly prices are quoted by some companies but we would expect to be able to do this car in our world renowned jaguar body shop ( Watjag) near Bakewell. There are very few cars like this one, if you want to just buy the car, that is good with us, also and we would be happy to advise and step in and out of your project to do the difficult parts required.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
