Hello Steve Grycuk:
When this car was originally entered into the xkedata.com database back in October 2004, it was because I called this
place in Florida and asked them for the numbers off of the data plate. Just this morning I gave them another call and
re-verified the number on the data plate and the top of the picture frame. They were able to provide the car number of
885866 from both locations as well as the V2175 body number off of the data plate. The car is still advertised at:

www.pjsautoworld.com/1960cars/1962jaguarxke.html

and

www.collectorcartraderonline.com/caddetail.html

Perhaps you should attempt to contact them to resolve this issue between the two of you. While I had them on the phone this morning I made them aware of this possible duplicate car issue.

We here at xkedata.com will do our best to verify numbers in dispute but we cannot take sides in any sort of dispute like this. Once things are resolved, we are more than happy to correct any records in error. We would also be glad to examine any digital photos or scanned copies you might be able to supply of the heritage certificate.

If you have any questions of other comments please feel free to E-mail us.

regarding duplicate identity ,having spoken at length to jaguar heritage i am completely sure that i have the original car, removing transmission cover reveals correct gearbox no ,the inside of the interior panels reveal the original body no ,under the seats there was some very old canadian memorbilia {car was original canadian},the car that is registered on your site other than using my chassis no bears no resemblance to the original car,the body no that you list is not correct for that car,i suggest that you carry out a search of that body no with jaguar heritage, this may well lead to the correct chassis no for the car listed,i would think that the chassis no on the carlisted has been misread accidently, this situation is not good for either party and hope it can be resolved,i would be happy to send copies of certificate ,interior panels etc but only in strictest confidence to site co-admin,regards steve

Hi Steve Grycuk - as mentioned from the admin Steven D. you should contact the seller and solve the issue between the two of you and not addressing this to this site nor to the admin of this site.
And than it makes sense to suggest that he should carry out the Heritage request.
The owner - status end October 2005 - did not know to that moment that his car was listed here.

Hope everythings becomes clarified.
