Ebay item 5/6/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-Restorable-1963-Jaguar-XKE-Coupe-Series-1- ...
Current bid $4,150 reserve not met, 10 bids, 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $15,995. 66k miles.

Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Coupe project...This car has a lot but still needs a lot...In nice condition for a car of its age this Coupe appears to have been unaffected by the elements like some older Jaguar projects. Very solid body panels, doors, floors, trunk area are almost completely rust free. There is almost no body area even close to being rust affected.

This Coupe still has its original Vin Tag on the car. It appears to still have the Original Steering Wheel, Dash Gauges, Body Panels, Wheels, (including the spare tire) glass. Comes with some manuals. The headliner, dash and door panels were restored a few years back and dont look too bad. A few modifications occured during last restore. Hairline crack in front windshield. Car is without the engine, (and components) transmission, carpet, most metal trim. It needs a lot but is VERY restorable...is VERY SOLID and MOSTLY ORIGINAL and is priced for a quick sale.

This is NOT a perfect wholly original Jaguar but then you could buy a PERFECT Jaguar replica instead of having the real thing. These are VERY HARD TO FIND....and is worth the asking price despite the issues with the car...

Should be able to make this a daily driver with normal effort and look sharp driving around this classic...OR restore with original Jaguar engine, tranny and components for top dollar.

Current bid $2,025 reserve not met, 3 bids, 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar XKE Series 1 Coupe project...This car has been garage maintained for over 40 years....Overall it is in nice condition for a car of its age. Appears to have been unaffected by the elements like some older Jaguar projects. Solid body panels, doors, floors, trunk area are all good and restorable,.

This Coupe has its original Vin Tag. Has a 1963 3.8L XKE engine with number matching cylinder head and block in need of rebuild to get running. There is newer custom Jaguar carpet ($425) that comes with the car. Has existing window chrome, Jaguar rims and wheel caps, 2nd original solid front bonnet ($1500 value) is included, in addition to the bonnet on the car... (original bonnet had front clip scrapes) but very solid overall and could be used on another XKE, extra manuals, headlight buckets and glass covers...and all extra parts pictured...

The headliner, dash, door panels were restored a few years back. Hairline crack in front windshield. Some filler in rear taillight area..Comes with correct rear taillights. Car includes the front and rear chrome pictured on the car...Seats could use a restore and appear to be from a Series 2....

Previous auction ended at $6,111 reserve not met after 17 bids.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
