New tires and seat belts installed in 2006. Front brakes (rotors, calipers, pads) and master cylinders replaced in 2012. Vehicle has undergone interior refurbishments in 2014 with new leather, vinyl, carpet and sound proofing. In late 2014, IRS removed and new rear brake pads, rotors and calipers installed along with new axle and pinion seals, u-joints, IRS cage bushings, and new trailing arms.
Due to low mileage and gentle use, suspension is tight. Still to do is a new heater core and eventually new paint.

I did not get to drive much this year due to a variety of other obligations and lots of rain. I need to replace nearly every rubber part sealing the doors and windows as they have hardened and do not seal well. I finally installed the original Blaupunkt Hanover radio and it sounds good, but I had to put in new speakers. The higher end Blaupunkt radios of the early 60's have three bands--AM, FM, and a shortwave band. They have a convenient plug to change from positive to negative ground. My jag is still positive ground and I don't really see the need to convert it. The plug wires are not resistance type, so I get a lot of static on the AM band.
Performance is still good, but one of these days it will need an engine overhaul. I used to do all my own engine work when I was younger, but that was on standard American engines and tackling the Jag engine appears pretty complicated requiring a bit of experience. But its expensive to get done by an outside party so I need to think about it before I commit.

It seems it will be winter forever here in Michigan, but the Jag will get a lot more use this summer with some longer trips and more car show participation. I still need to add new rubber seals all around the windows, windshield and hatch window. The original exhaust system is also rusting and I need to look at installing a long lasting stainless system. Is it me or is the Jag making it harder to get into?
