This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a Series I coupe that was reportedly acquired by the seller’s father in the late 1960s and refurbished in 2010. The car is finished in red over tan leather and is powered by a 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15” wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, covered headlights, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a retro-style digital media receiver. This XKE is now offered with refurbishment records and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name, listing the car as a 1964 model.
The seller states that the car was repainted in Medium Garnet Red in 2010. Exterior details include a louvered clamshell hood, covered headlights, dual center-exit exhaust outlets, and split bumpers with overriders.
Chrome-finished 15” knock-off wire wheels are retained with two-eared spinners and are wrapped in 205/70 Goodyear Assurance tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted units at the rear.
The seats have been reupholstered in tan leather, and patterned aluminum trim adorns the center stack and console. A retro-style digital media receiver has been added to the dash, and black rubber mats line the footwells.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an inset clock, while auxiliary gauges are located in the center stack. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and currently shows 7k miles.
The 3.8-liter inline-six is equipped with triple SU carburetors and an electronic ignition conversion kit. The engine is said to have been rebuilt during the refurbishment. An oil change was performed in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
