Beware of this seller (@Hemmings)!
rusty Dusty sells everything for money, but not quality cars.
Purchase only after personal expert inspection possible!
I have the evidence.

Ebay item 11/6/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-3-8-LITER-COUPE-GARAGED-3-8-LTR-COUPE-CAL-BLU ...
Current bid US $34,400 reserve not met 16 bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Pleasanton, California. 36k miles. Note; a car registered in CA in '63 would have had black plates.
Sellers description:
1963 Jaguar 3.8 liter Coupe with blue California license plates and 100% solid factory-original metal. Always garaged, 2 owners since new, full service records and complete tool set. Numbers-matching engine and cylinder head, per Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Sold new to the owner of a television station in Sacramento. The owner of the station painted all his cars the same color, the green you see here. After he owned the car for several years, he sold it to his technical engineer. The engineer remained in the industry for the following 30-plus years, until he was virtually the last analogue expert around. He kept the Jaguar in his garage and serviced it regularly, and he kept detailed records in two note books (pictured). The car runs and drives exceptionally well from my experience with these cars. The transmission shifts nicely, and the engine runs smooth. We dry-ice blasted the undercarriage to expose all the original factory spot welds. Even the foot pans are not rusted; I have owned close to one hundred series 1 Etype cars, and even the best California cars often have pin holes in that area. Not this one. This is a quality car. We are a licensed California dealer.
