Lot #111991
This 1963 Jaguar XKE is a Series I roadster that is powered by a GM 350ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is finished in white over black upholstery. Equipment includes a black soft top, chrome 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, tubular headers, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, and VDO instrumentation. The car was refurbished under previous ownership and then acquired by the seller in 2015. This modified XKE is offered in California with a Kansas title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in white and was reportedly disassembled and refinished under previous ownership. Exterior details include a black soft top, covered headlights, chrome bumpers with overriders, a louvered clamshell hood, three windshield wipers, bright trim, and twin polished central exhaust outlets. Work during current ownership included fitting front and rear bumpers. The headlights and one of the windshield wipers do not work, and exterior flaws include windshield delamination and wear around the passenger-side window area of the soft top.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 225/50 Pirelli Cinturato P7 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The interior is equipped with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery and accompanied by a color-coordinated dash pad, door panels, and carpets. Appointments include hand-crank side windows, black Jaguar-branded rubber floor mats, a toggle switch panel, an analog clock, lap belts, a heater and defroster, and a locking glove compartment
A MOMO Prototipo steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges that extend to the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 3k miles, less than 1k of which have been added by the seller. The seller states that various gauges measure inaccurately and true mileage is unknown.
The GM 350ci V8 was installed under prior ownership. Features include a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, an MSD distributor, Jaguar-branded finned valve covers, and tubular headers. An oil change was carried out in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with an electronic overdrive unit and a rear end that was reportedly re-geared during current ownership to lower engine speed.
The Kansas title lists an “Antique” brand.
