    Sellers comment:
    RECENT FRAME OFF RESTORATION!

Finished in most desired Midnight Blue with beautiful Saddle Tan interior and matching convertible top. This incredible motorcar has gone through a complete frame off restoration with nearly $50,000 spent! It has been painstakingly restored including original Redline Michelin tires, Connelly leather, Wilton carpets, complete engine rebuild, and of course the rare factory air conditioning that blows ice cold! This is, in my opinion, one of the finest examples of a 1970 XKE Roadster you will find on eBay! Remember, this is the only car to adorn the Museum of Modern Art as being the finest designed sports cars of modern times and because of this fact I truly believe the investment potential should be tremendous!

    Sellers description:
Excellent restored Series II 4.2 6 cyl E type roadster in a striking color combination of Navy blue with Tan leather/Tan Top. While not a concours car, this car has been restored several years back to very nice driver standards. It has had 5k miles since restoration, and has some small wear, but nothing major. The paint is in exceptional condition with no dents, scratches or rust anywere I can see. The interior is still very nice and looks to have been a Bartlett leather interior kit with new carpet, trunk kit and top. The engine looks to be rebuilt and the whole engne bay has obviously been highly detailed, however has had some use and is no longer perfect in every way. It has some upgrades mechanically such as triple weber carbs, which incidentally make this the fastest E type I have driven. It also has a crane electronic ignition as well as other small running improvements. The chrome wire wheels were new when the car was restored and are shod with radial redline tires. All in all, this is a great restored E type roadster that is ready to use and show, and if you wanted perfection, would not be much to return to absolute show condition.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
