Car offered at:
vandp.net/sales/2184/1970-e-type-jaguar-series-2-4-2-litre-ots/

Seller's description:
Jaguar E Type Series 2 4.2 Litre OTS.
Year: 1970
Chassis no: PIR1636
Registration: 1EJX (By Negotiation
Registered In: UK
Price: £88,000
Vin Number: PIR1636

Registration number: 1EJX (Avialable By separate Negotiation.)

Under long term ownership for close to two decades, this Series 2 Jaguar E type has covered a total of 89990 miles as verified by an unbroken chain ot MOT certificates dating from 1987 at 55,639 miles.

The car is finished in signal red & has been the recipient of a recent very high quality respray from its original clour of black. There is no rust evident on the car which is as solid as they come. Seats have been re-trimmed by expert trimmer Mike Thomas in black leather to the correct pattern.

The car comes to us with a massive history file detailing extensive works that have been undertaken over the years. On the road the car is beautiful to drive with a crisp responsive engine that pulls strongly in all gears whilst emittiing the requisite Jagur noises. Brakes are powerful & pull the car up in a straight line from high speeds. A new Mohair hood has also been installed.

This E Type is very very tidy & more importantly very useable. It sits on 4 chrome wire wheels shod with 4 good tyres & knock off spinners. The previous restoration work has stood the test of time very well leaving us with a very useable car in very fine order. Indeed it feels as if it were restored in the last two years rather then 10 years ago as it has seen little use since completion.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
