Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar xke 2+2 Coupe with 4 speed & air. I have owned this car for less than one year and before that the past owner had in storage for over 15 years that came out of estate, so have very little history on this car. This car will need total restoration, including body work & repainted. The front floors have been replaced. The trunk area appears solid. This car does have a series one bonnet & instrument panel, please dont ask me why. The engine does not turn & the front windshield is cracked. This car comes with a good Ohio title. What you see in the picture is what your buying. I have no extra parts. Engine number is 7R7031. Serial # P1R26767
* Engine : 4.2 Litre, dual carb set up. I believe is matching number. The engine does not run & when I tried to turn the crankshaft bolt, it would not move.

* Bonnet & instrument panel : These items are series one, that is the way I bought the car.

* Exhaust: Needs one.
* Windshied: Needs replaced
* Body condition : In primer but will need further body work for paint.

* Title: Good Ohio title.

Car returns to ebay 4/3/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $3,550 reserve not met, 14 bids. 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $5,995. Car now located in Newport Beach, California.
Sellers description:
Early 1968 model Barn-Find, basically a series 1-1/2 with a series 1 dash and some other early transition components. It is 99% complete and it features RARE factory Power Steering and Air Conditioning! The original color was Regency Red.
The engine was supposedly running when parked, you know the story. The good news is that it is complete and oil has been poured into the cylinders...maybe it will free up OK. This car is not a California car and is rusty. Although the sub-frame and floors are in good shape, be prepared for some extensive patch panel work after you dip it. It looks like some kid years ago went bananas with a few gallons of Bondo and primer in order to make a driver. Looks like he went way overboard with the Bondo. Anyway, it rolls along fine on 4 fairly dry rotted Michelin Red-Line tires so it will be easy to transport. Again, this is not a light project, this beauty needs a frame off restoration to bring it back, and it should be brought back!
The VIN is P1R26767, which we think indicates a 1969 sale date...the plot thickens... Also, not sure if bonnet is original to car.
