• Two previous owners
• Present ownership since 1986
• Extensive professional restoration circa 2015
• Large history file
This automatic transmission Series 2 E-Type has had only two previous owners and has belonged to the current vendor since 20th December 1986. Circa 2015 the car underwent extensive restoration, including a respray, which was carried out by Falmouth Coachworks (see history file for related invoices for parts). The file also contains the following: V5s and other documents; expired MoT certificates; correspondence (early 1980s) between the previous owner and Gantspeed Engineering; restoration invoices (1983) from Gantspeed; invoices for recommissioning work by G B Ongaro (2009); SNG Barratt invoices for brake and suspension components, stainless steel exhaust, body parts (2011-2015) and tyres (2015); sundry other invoices (2016); bill for alternator reconditioning (2017); and a receipt for a new battery (under warranty until 21st March 2026). In addition the car also comes with parts books and catalogues; an owner's workshop manual; a Jaguar service manual; and various magazines. Having been stored at the vendors home and unused for a period of time, all usual safety checks and servicing would now be advised before returning to the road.
