This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II 2+2 underwent a multiyear refurbishment from 2010 to 2019 before being acquired by the seller in 2020. Work is noted to have involved repainting the body in metallic gray, retrimming the interior in maroon leather, rebuilding the dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and overhauling the suspension and braking systems. The car is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Further details include a louvered clamshell hood and a side-hinged rear door along with four-wheel disc brakes and 15″ wire wheels. This XKE 2+2 is now offered with a car cover and a clean West Virginia title in the seller’s name.

The car is said to have been stripped and repainted in Warwick Gray as part of the aforementioned multi-year refurbishment completed in 2019. The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off hubs and are mounted with 215/70 Yokohoma tires, and a spare is stored in the rear cargo compartment. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units. The suspension and braking systems were reportedly overhauled under previous ownership.

The front bucket seats and rear bench have been retrimmed in maroon leather. Red carpets line the floors and are protected by all-weather mats. There are holes in the center console for speakers, though none are installed. The car is equipped with various air conditioning components, though the system is not connected.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel is paired with a wood shift knob. Smiths instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as a centrally mounted clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 100 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors are said to have been rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and are fitted with pancake-style air cleaners. An aluminum radiator with dual electric puller fans has also been added.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. The rear subframe mounts were reportedly replaced under previous ownership.

The seller is unable to locate the chassis plate on the vehicle.
