I am selling this Jaguar for my brother. He bought it in 1971! The car has been driven very little since he acquired it 45 years ago. It has spend most of its life in an insulated airplane hangar. He would periodically take it out for a short drive. It is a good straight E-Type with matching numbers. The car has had one repaint in 1980. He just spent $6,307.25 on the mechanics by a Classic British Car restoration shop making it very reliable to drive!
The car is original with the exception of the one repaint. I have not cleaned it at all. My brother lives a couple of hours from where the car is stored ( I live 2 minutes from the car) He called and ask me to sell it for him. I am 54 years old and remember when he brought this car home. I was 10 years old at that time! It could stand a good wash and wax but I don't have the time.
The only issue I see with the car is the scratches on the passenger side door. Apparently someone gave it some hangar rash while it was in the hangar. I have included a picture of that.
This Jaguar is the way one should be for investment: RED! The perfect color in my opinion.
The car runs and drives great!
