Ebay item 10/14/06

Current bid $5,100 reserve not met, 14 bids, 8 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Car been in heated storage for a long length of time. It appears to be unmolested, the body is straight and near dent free. The interior is in very nice condition with no rips and tears. Underneath is rust free.
It is powered by a 4.2 liter engine and it runs good. This car is equipped with power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The transmission is also in working order. We have not driven this car very far, but the brakes work good. As with many vintage vehicles, we recommend transporting the vehicle after purchase. We also recommend a thorough safety inspection before operating this vehicle on the highway due to the time it has been sitting.
The bottom side of the body is rust free. The body is straight and rust free, but it does need new paint. Paint is deteriorating on the roof and has been brush touched. The paint is showing peeling, deterioration, and fading in some areas. The exhaust is corroded and will need to be replaced. Some of the chrome is in good condition, and some pieces will need to be rechromed. The side glass and frames are in nice condition. The glass all looks very good with no major scratching. The remainder of the exterior trim and lighting is very good with only the occasional slight sign of ageing. The interior is in excellent condition. Seats and door panels no tears or fadeout. The dashboard in great shape and the headliner is in great shape. Gauges are near perfect. The only thing missing is choke knobs.
The front suspension is in great condition, and appears to have been gone thru at one time. The rear independent suspension performs nice, but could be improved with minor detailing.
This Jag only needs minor work to be a great driver, and if you would like to make this a show stopper, you can start with a rust free solid vehicle.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
