Car to be at auction 11/23
angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic-auctions/2610-04-Nov-2023/3717~1-1969-jaguar-e-type-s2-tub-lhd
Auction description:
Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th November
1969 JAGUAR E-TYPE S2 TUB LHD
Chassis number: P1R42885BW
The vendor describes this Jaguar E-type Series 2 2+2 Coupe tub as ‘almost a barn-find; it’s a warehouse find', having been stored in a warehouse since 2016. It's offered as a restoration, with various items missing such as the engine, gearbox, bonnet, doors, floors and rear axle. The front cage is dismantled. However, there are various trim items, lights, dash, leather seats and four wheels, along with the rear boot lid, original wooden steering wheel, and spare steering wheel. Surprisingly enough, there's still a key in the dashboard.
The car was originally Sable with beige trim according to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate in the paperwork. It was dispatched to New York in November 1969 and was re-imported back from the USA in 2015/2016. There is no V5C but there is a photocopy of the Heritage Certificate as well as relevant import and shipping information.
