Sellers description:
NO CORROSION !!! NO ACCIDENT EVIDENCE !! NO BONDO SPOTS ! First owner, an Orange County area Lady who, when she turned 80, no longer wanted to deal with the wide sill climbing in and out of the car, bought a Lexus and gave or sold the car around 3/6-'94 to her nephew, a retired Vice-Admiral in the Navy who sold the car to me in San Diego on 9/5-'97, indicated mileage 16991, which I assumed to be 116991. Drove it home to Sonora without any difficulty, garaged it. Aesthetically the car presents itself well and yes there are a number of blemishes and some of the seals are becoming brittle. The front seats are covered in other than leather and are whole. The rear seat is original, leather, which needs to be handled carefully. The roof liner is in place and sound. The door upholstery is in good shape with the driver door featuring a quarter sized piece of black tape near the tip of the handle. The luggage area floor section and the dashboard are in good shape. There is a faint arc on the windshield at the extreme track of the left-hand wiper. There are no cracks or scratches in/on the other glass surfaces. The doors, door locks, door windows function normally and open and close well though with some effort. All the toggle switches function well as do the gauges and the clock. I am 6'2" tall and with the seat slid back as far as it will go I can swivel my right foot from the accelerator pedal to the brake pedal with my legs extended straight out. In the course of the period during which I owned the car I regenerated the front fender flex seals, replaced the hydraulic brake fluid reservoirs/floats, removed the non functioning A.C. system, paneled the underneath of the dashboard, installed day-light running lights, renewed the luggage area floor strips, renewed the front seat seat inserts, installed a locking fuel tank cap, reconditioned the front brakes. By 3/20-'12 I dropped the engine and transmission both of which functioned well enough but the transmission had started to loose some fluid whenever operated and the engine compression profile became less than optimally correct. Both units were treated by Professionals, detailed records can be made available to an eventual next owner. The description of the comprehensive and complete engine overhaul takes more space than I have but can be made available and forwarded to interested parties. New items other than pistons, rings, seals, plugs, bearings, valves, guides, studs, timing chains include: damper, oil pump, fuel pump, carburetor refit kits and a multitude of misc. components. Other new items which have nothing to do with the engine are: tires, alternator, regulator, battery tray, coolant hoses. I took my first drive in the reconditioned machine on 4/11-'15 at mileage 117813 and was pleased with the overall performance. The car is currently registered and insured and available for viewing and inspection at the owner's address, by appointment, for serious parties. The successful bidder/buyer is responsible for all transportation expenses and applicable taxes associated with that activity. Vehicle will be sold "AS IS,WHERE IS" with no warranty stated or implied.

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States in 2015 and currently for sale. Listed on eBayUK, the URL is www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-FHC-Series2-e-type-auto-/201508294872? -Description runs:
* 1970 Series 2 FHC 2+2 automatic with power steering and MOT.
* This car came from a delightful couple in their late 80s living in California.
* They owned the car from the late 80s and were the second owner.
* Clearly well looked after and maintained, with folders of invoices and carefully documented notes and records.
* The car was painted in the late 80s and looks very nice, with just a few areas starting to show some age. I think the car was originally Old English White, the engine frames and bulkhead still in their original livery.
* The engine is fantastic, very quiet and showing the correct oil pressure, with no fluid leaks, and keeping the correct temperature.
* Gearbox and brakes are very good.
* Interior is very nice, with good leather and original carpets and vinyl in good condition.
* The owner removed the air conditioning, however the original radio and air conditioning parts come with the car.
* The car is exceptionally solid, with the floors and boot free from any rot, and showing just a few bits of surface rust. Panel gaps are excellent.
* It drives very nicely, and is a fantastic proposition compared to the coupes which are double the price. Also a great choice if you have children or a dog!
* All duties are paid, with NOVA number and Title present, MOTd and ready to register in the UK.
* £29,950.
