Ebay item 8/10/04
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $6,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
a beautiful 1970 Jaguar E Type XKE 4.2L 6 Cyl. 4 speed automatic and factory A/C with 42,453 miles. This is the one of the 4,000 ever made. This Jaguar is an all-original car, which has been stored for past 8 month in garage. It was in perfect and running condition before I took carburetor a part for cleaning 3 weeks ago. I put everything back but it is need a new carburetor kit and tune up to start the engine. The rest all electrical working fine. All belts and houses was replaced 2 years ago. Clean engine with a little rust on the side of the block which can be remove with rust cleaner. Engine is very strong and turns the same as automatic transmission. A/C works and blows cold air but needs to fix A/C on/off switch. Paint in good fare condition. Previous owner freshly repainted it 5 years ago. Interior still all original and in fare condition. Chrome need to be polished but still looks good. I also took a part original “Philips” radio and fixed, it is working now but need to be put back in to the car. Also took the both side morrows for rechroming but they still ok. Also it is need two new tail pipes and mufflers, they are all rusted due to Florida weather.
Wire wheels in good condition.
New 3 rows radiator, which cost me $530 and new original Jaguar steering wheel and hub for $850.
I have over $20K in receipts.
All around car looks very good for 34 years old car.
I had this car for almost 4 years and drove only on weekends. I have all history of this car from the first day it was sold including all information from the original owner. I have all books and documents. This is 100% Florida car and never been outside the state. Never been in accidents. I will also include the original British style license plate and all parts catalog, which I got for replacement parts and restoration process. This car is good restoration project.
