Current bid $14,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Listed is my 1971, Virtually Impossible to Find, 100% Professionally Restored, All Original, Low Mileage (ID Numbers Matching) SURVIVOR 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II 4.2L Roadster, 4-Speed. It is Classic Jaguar Black W/ Black Leather Interior and a New Black Vinyl Top (also comes with the boot, as you can see in the photos). It is VIN # 7R12835-9, with 17,750 miles showing on the odometer. The Manufacturer Spec./Data Plate (Coventry, England) verifies this XKE Roadster to be: Car #D2R13940, Body #4R8687, and Gear Box #KE14110. It has been garaged its whole life, has NO mechanical or electrical issues (NO leaks or rust anywhere), and has never been involved in any accident. It was 100% Professionally Restored (mechanically and cosmetically) about 2,000 miles ago. I have all the records, books and manuals that will be sold with the car. Everything was done, as I said, professionally, including the paint which is excellent. It truly looks, runs and drives like a new vehicle. One will not find a higher quality, more original, 100% Professionally Restored Jaguar 4.2 Roadster anywhere on the internet or in the US. As always, the certificate of Title is free and clear of any liens (no flood, reconditioned or salvage problems). For a more complete vehicle background, contact Carfax or the automobile manufacturer.

Options:
Powerful, All Original and Completely rebuilt 6-Cylinder Engine, 4-Speed Transmission (shifts super smoothly and responsively), Power: Brakes, Chrome Spoked Wheels, Tires: 80% tread

Full Disclosure:
There are 2 tiny dings on the bonnet. There is also a very isolated area of flaking chrome on the front passenger side bumper. Also, there are 2 very slight paint flaws (see photo). Lastly, there is a small piece of trim missing from the center console, above the stereo.

1970 Jaguar XKE Roadster

5-Speed Upgraded transmission! Very costly!

Up for you consideration is this beautiful triple black 1970 E-Type Roadster. This car could best be described as a driver quality Vehicle it presents well, and is stunning in black.

The engine was rebuilt about 20k miles ago, and a 5 speed gearbox was added, which is a $6,000 upgrade not including labor! The rear end gears were rebuilt also.
Headers have been added for extra exhaust flow, The originals will be included. There is a tri carb setup on the car currently, and are from an early series 1 car, this setup is rare and valuable alone, I will include the stock intake and carbs also.

The interior has a series 1 dash plate installed with toggle switches instead of the stock rockers. The car also has an anti theft kill switch installed.

The paint has a great shine, and looks good, upon closer inspection there are flaws such as minor chips and scratches. The seats are in good shape, and the top is also in great shape with no holes. Underside is very straight with no corrosion or rust.

The car will run and drive, but will need a carb adjustment and smells like it has an exhaust leak, Easy fix.
