The car has approx. 33,000 miles (known to be correct). The clutch and exhaust system were replaced at approx. 31,000 miles, and it is equiped with Michelin redlines.

Allen, saw your "E" on the XKE Data site. We purchased our 71 last year, 2R28290. Ours is White with red interior, certainly not as nice as yours. Some p.o. jury rigged a different radio in and made a terrible mess, Do you have a picture of your interior showing the radio you could email to me.
    Thanks,

You've really got a beautiful car. In fact, the fron view is now on my desktop. I have P2R28133, which is undergoing a complete restoration in my workshop. It's got some rust and other body damage, and I'm determined to fix it correctly. It is sable with beige interior. The engine compartment and interior appear to be identical to yours, except not as nice.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
