Sale also mentioned in Jaguar magazine:

BOB JANE'S LIGHTWEIGHT E-TYPE TO BE SOLD BY BONHAMS
The brilliant Bob Jane genuine Lightweight, given to him by distributor Jack Bryson and Jaguar Cars in 1963, is the 10th of 12 built. It is also the 1963 Australian GT Championship winner. Jane raced the car at Brands Hatch too in 1964 and retained it until 1981 when it was sold to Perth businessman Peter Briggs who displayed it in his museum. The car spent many years doing the rounds of Jane's T-Marts (tyre stores) for display purposes and always remained pristine. At one stage it was road registered by Jane and fitted with full bumper bars and chrome trim. It has had three owners only in its 53/54 years of life and is chassis no. S 850667.

The car is being sold by Bonhams at its annual Scottsdale Auction on January 19th, 2017. It is a car we are very fond of - and Bob Jane said selling the car (for AUD$80,000) was the biggest business mistake he ever made! The Cunningham-like stripes by the way, were added by Peter Briggs. It only had Jane Shell Racing stripes when raced seriously by the first owner and they are seen in the second image taken at Longford in Tasmania.
