Sellers description:
1972 Jaguar XKE Series III Convertible. This car has been in my family since 1994, I believe we are the third owners. It has been well maintained and always garaged, its easy to see that a lot of love and attention to detail went into the the restoration of the car. It is rust-free and needs nothing, the car was photographed at the service station where a some necessary repairs were made recently including a new fuel pump, 4 new tires, fuel tank flush, tune-up, and transmission pan gasket. While the car is not a show winner in it's current state it could very easily be an everyday driver, and with a little TLC could be perfect. The paint is not original but it is a good paint job with only a few small scratches (most should buff out). The chrome is generally in very good shape and the car has 16" wheels to accomodate a larger more high performance tire. Both the seats and top have been replaced with the correct parts and are in excellent shape. This car has been meticulously restored and maintained and was definately loved by its last owner (my father). I'd prefer not to sell it, but would rather see it go to someone who has the time to spend driving and maintaining the car. The car may be viewed locally (in Westchester county, NY) I am not a car dealer and there is no implied warranty on this vehicle, feel free to check the car out prior to purchase, I'm sure that you'll be satisfied.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
