Car offered at:

www.lesanciennes.com/annonce/jaguar-type-e-serie-iii-v12-2-2-1972-a604718

Seller's description:

JAGUAR TYPE E series III – 1972 – V12 – 2+2 model - Matching Number

The car is in its original configuration, with certificate from JAGUAR Heritage Trust obtained in early 2021.

Yellow Primrose (Pale Primrose Yellow) very "Pop" and faithful to the early 70s.

The engine runs perfectly without ever getting hot.

Beautiful Series III which belonged to a collector in the United States.

It remained for more than 10 years with a mechanic in the USA who did not have the skills to get it back on the road (hence the undeserved reputation of Jaguar)

The car was bought by me at the end of 2020 and arrived in Nantes in February 2021.

It was taken over for restoration and restarting by a renowned specialist.

Important works were carried out for more than 13,000 euros

Main parts that have been changed:

- Shock absorbers

- Alternator

- Lucas Ignition Amplifier

- Carburetor seals,

- Candles

- Voltage Regulator,

Main adjustment, modification or repair work:

- Carburetor tuning

- Modification of electrical harness

- Expansion tank

The bodywork is in good condition. The paint is in good condition, with a few blemishes, it can either be refreshed or wait a while longer. The chassis is sound.

The original upholstery shows its age on the front seats. The rear seats are in good condition.

The whole thing gives a good feeling of authenticity. The interior can also be used as is or be the subject of a 2nd phase of restoration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
