Ebay item 6/17/10
clock. At 52000 miles the engine and gearbox were taken out and rebuilt due to a leaking transmission.
Replaced were rings, bearings, oil pump, water pump. Alternator and starter were rebuild also an Allison XR700 ignition was fitted, as was an exteral oil filter housing. All new engine wiring harness and all rubber and hoses on the car were replaced.
Over the years we have replaced shocks, rebuild brake calipers, new radiator header tank, rebuild the radiator, new front seats leather, and replaced all the interor carpet, front door hinges, replaced the exhaust system with one from Dick Ames, the rear suspension bushings and real axle seals were replaced by Cats Jaguar here in Denver and many other small items.
The orignal Britsh Leyland radio and the A/C still work. The car comes with a spare tire orignal jack and knock off tool, also a box of spares incl spare ballast resistance unit some hoses and cables, filters. The rear hatch rubber chrome trim is not on the car but I have it and it will be incl as will be parts books, 2 workshop manuals and 6 other books on Jaguars and E-types and a car cover.
The item that I know that is a problem with the car is the horns blow when you do a tight turn, So the wires are not connected to the horns, I never got around to try to fix it, I think the problem is in the horn push button.
