TRIPLE BLACK 1973 V12 JAGUAR XKE, LOW MILES AND LOADED!!! PS, PB, PW, 4 SPEED AND FACTORY AC. $17500 COSMETIC RESTORATION WITH LESS THAN 1000 MILES SINCE. GORGEOUS BLACK PAINT, NEWER CHROME ALL THE WAY AROUND, ROLLING ON WIRE RIMS. The is a real triple black cat. According to the two previous owners, this Jaguar has only 22.000 and probably 23,000 if it is not sold soon. The previous owners validated miles based on previous owner history and registration records. We purchased this pretty black jaguar represented as a low mileage car, but we can not prove or disprove the mileage, but it's a really nice car that we are proud to own. This pretty black cat received an expensive $17,500 cosmetic restoration to freshen it up a bit twelve years ago, including new paint, new wire wheels and lots of new chrome all the way around. The interior is great with the original leather seat covers. The dash has crisp clear gages and instrumentation. The top is in very good original condition and has a small tear on each side. This car runs strong like a V12 should and is a driving pleasure with a 5.3 litter V-12 engine, and a 4-speed transmission that powers through the gears nicely. Independent Suspension all the way around, upgraded CD with conceal speakers in the back that sound great. This beautiful black cat is rolling on sexy chrome wire wheels and has major curb appeal.

Magnificently repainted last October, new top installed $17,500 spent!
Exterior: Black
Interior: Black
Convertible Top: Black
Convertible Boot: Black
Trunk interior carpet: Biscuit
Wheels: 5 factory Jaguar wire wheels
Transmission: 4/Speed manual
Engine: 5.3 liter, 326cid V-12 rated at 285 bhp
Mileage: 22,589
Serial Number: UD1S21138
Production date: 11/72
Model: 1973 XKE Roadster
Radio: AM/FM/Stereo/CD Pioneer
Carburetors: 4 Brand new SU with new fuel lines and clamps
Included with the sale of this stunning low mileage Jaguar Roadster are the 4 original Zenith Stromberg
carburetors that were professionally rebuilt. After being rebuilt they were installed on the car
and properly tuned. I had them carefully removed and put in plastic bags.
We bought an entire set of BRAND NEW SU carburetors, new hoses and clamps, a new electric fuel pump
and replaced the fuel gauge tank sender with a brand new correct replacement. I also had the fuel tank's
interior cleaned and replaced all the fuel tank hoses and fuel filter. We did this to insure that the
new owner will have 1000's of fun-filled problem free miles. We really do love the cars more than
the money and have sold almost 1/3 of a billion dollars in cars on Ebay since March of 2000.
The electric choke works, but with these SU carburetors it's not necessary to use the choke. Just turn
the key and this low mileage V-12 springs to life. Let it warm up for 3-4 minutes and you'll enjoy how
wonderful this Jaguar drives. Anyone who has owned a 1971-1974 knows the Stromberg-Zenith carbs
are a pain in the A to keep in tune...that's why so many owners of the 1961-1970 Six cylinder Series I
and Series II and owners of the Series III 1971-1974 XKE V-12 have switched to these SU carburetors.
All the gauges work and the AC blows ice cold. We had the AC blower motor replaced with a new quieter
blower motor.
We spend countless hours making sure every car we offer is the best it can be. If we find a light bulb out,
we replace it. The interior courtesy bulb is out and we are looking for a replacement.
The clock is not working, we are alerting you to that...we do our best to never "Surprise" anyone.
This Jaguar is a gorgeous 43 year old car...it's not perfect...nor do we believe there is such a thing as perfect on a
40, 50, or 60 year old automobile, but this is one is one of the nicest looking and running 1973 XKE Roadsters you could ever find.
If a car needs a new battery....we install one.... and on this we looked for the best possible battery available and we
bought and installed it...It's called the OPTIMA and it cost $200 plus the old battery.
We drive all of our cars for 50-200 or more miles and if we find something not working...we fix it....if we don't fix it---
we tell you in the auction copy what is not working and if by some rare chance we overlooked it...then call us
and we will do our best to make it right.
The original AM/FM radio has been replaced with a great sounding Pioneer AM/FM/Stereo CD. It's got
great sounding speakers...2 Polk audio tweeters in the doors and a pair of great sounding
6X9's with one mounted behind each seat.
The Convertible top and Convertible top boot are new and fit well.
The paint on this car is simply gorgeous...it's like looking into a shimmering pool of black ink.
The chrome is beautiful, when redone it was triple plated to show quality and so are the wire wheels.
We had the wood that covers the spare tire inside the trunk replaced with new
correct panels that fit exactly as they should...and then a new Biscuit carpet
made and new snaps attached.
Included is the original wooded knock-off hammer for removing the wire wheels.

This 1973 Jaguar XKE is a Series III roadster that was acquired by the current owner approximately five years ago and has since received a repaint, a replacement soft top, and a reupholstered interior. Finished in black over black, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with four-speed manual transmission and features air conditioning, a Pioneer head unit, quad-outlet exhaust, four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, polished wire wheels, and chrome bumpers and trim. Recent maintenance is said to include an engine tune-up in November 2020. This XKE is being offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with an owner’s manual, factory literature, four keys, and a clean New York title.
The exterior was reportedly repainted its current shade of black following the seller’s acquisition around 2016. A replacement black canvas soft top was installed at that time, and additional features include a quad-outlet exhaust and backdated chrome bumper overriders.
The polished 15” wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are wrapped in Michelin XW4 tires sized 215/70 at all four corners. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rears, and the brake servo assembly was replaced in April 2017 by Aventura Auto Service, Inc. of Southampton, New York. Corrosion is noted on the wheel spokes.
The cabin was reupholstered in 2016 and features black leather seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a Pioneer CD stereo with satellite radio capabilities, rocker switches for vehicle functions, and three-point seatbelts for front occupants. The floors were repainted following the treatment and cleaning of rust in 2016. Peeling and scratched trim on the dashboard can be seen.
A black leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and centrally-mounted auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows just under 23k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank along with four Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was factory-rated at 264 horsepower. A replacement battery box was fabricated and installed in 2016, along with a remanufactured alternator, a replacement radiator cooling fan motor, and more as outlined on receipts provided in the gallery. The seller reports that a tune-up was performed in November 2020.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Corrosion is noted on the Walker muffler.

Car has a buy it now price of $85,000 for 29 days, seller hartfordland, car now in West Hartford, Connecticut, 22k miles
Seller's description:
This beautiful triple black 1973 Jaguar XKE Series 3 Roadster was built in October of 1972 for the US market destined for the British Leyland US distribution center in New York, NY and was dispatched by Jaguar on December 22nd, 1972 according to the Heritage Certificate that accompanies the car.
This is a numbers matching car with its original 5.3 liter 12-cylinder engine; engine number 7S 8233 LA, body number 4S 2771 and gearbox number KL 3938. Because I don't have a full history of the car from new, I put the car into our shop immediately after acquiring it and did a full safety inspection of all systems, tune up, carburetor adjustment and extended road test of the car. By all indications, this is a largely original sub 23,000 mile car as the engine delivers ample power, easy starting and smooth operation. The car accelerates effortlessly and shifts & brakes reliably. The factory air conditioning functions well as do all the gauges and controls. We have tested and inspected everything on this car to ensure reliability and functionality. The wheels appear new and the tires have minimal milage on them.
The paint and panel fit are excellent throughout the car having been professionally repainted and cared for since. The doors open and shut easily and with no sag whatsoever. The bumpers are original and while the rear bumper shows some minor small areas of discoloration, the front bumper and all other brightwork appears excellent.
The interior appears new with all original style seats, carpeting, top vinyl and components as well all controls and gauges absolutely mint original. For driving enjoyment, the radio has been upgraded to a modern style Pioneer stereo system. A testament to the originality of the car is the incredibly straight and well fitting A/C vents which are extremely prone to warping and showing signs of age in poorly cared for or stored cars. These are straight and have perfect fitment indicative of an incredinbly well protected car for all of its life.
Everything about this car speaks to its well cared for and pampered life. Only the radiator has been upgraded for better cooling which was a common upgrade on the earlier series three XKE's.
This XKE has its original owners manual, original tool roll, original spare tire mounted on a correct wire wheel and jack set. It also has some receipts outlining the care and respect this car has received in recent years including a careful refitment of the top, interior maintenance & upkeep and other miscellaneous work performed in the last ten years.

This Series III E-Type is now offered in Connecticut by the selling dealer on behalf of the current owner, a licensed retail dealer, with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Indiana title.
The exterior was reportedly repainted its current shade of black circa 2016. A replacement black canvas soft top was installed at that time, and additional features include a quad-outlet exhaust and backdated chrome bumper overriders.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and are mounted with Michelin XW4 tires measuring 205/70 VR15. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin was reupholstered in 2016 and features black leather seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, a Pioneer CD stereo with satellite radio capabilities, rocker switches for vehicle functions, and three-point seat belts for front occupants. The floors were repainted following the treatment and cleaning of rust in 2016.
The steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 23k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new.
Engine block stamping 7S8233LA matches Heritage Trust certificate.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate indicates that the car was manufactured on October 20th, 1972 and was originally finished in white over a dark blue interior.
